Its all up there in the title of the topic.
What is that makes an effective?
Are there any rules or guidelines that can guarantee the success of an ad? If there are, what are those?
Please accept my regrets for this belated reply. You are a new Member and therefore wouldn't know, these Forums had been in some pretty thick soup since November.
Many of our valued Members have already replied, in general, to your question. Allow me to give you a detailed overview of what makes an advertisement or campaign effective. Please bear with me. This will be somewhat lengthy.
If an Advertsing Agency or Creative Shop is organized upon professional foundations, they will ask the client for a detailed and specific brief.
A Member has said that what you have described doesn't work out as easy as it looks the way you put it down. You haven't commented on it?
That Member, Hucksley_Julian,
is himself a seasoned campaigner of many years experience. He knows what he is talking about, just as I know what I am talking about.
He is quite correct that what I described isn't as easy as it looks from my descriptin of it. I described it the way I did to make it interesting for Billo
, who had asked the original question. The other way would have been to put down things text-book style. That, in all likelihood, would have bored
everyone to death.
I am almost sure, you wouldn't want to be bored to death too; would you?
Is it really as simple as you have made it out to be?
Dear friend, experience does make things seem simple. If you keep on doing the same thing for three decades or so, it beccomes second nature to you.
By the way, I have described the process, not the experience. Things take doing to get done, and they take doing them right to be of any use to anyone.
