Writing an ad, and writing an ad that is really effective are two vastly different things.

Simply stated, it takes a lot of sweat and toil.

At least that is what I have learned about it.

Among the hundreds of thousands of advertisements created every day, only a small percentage achieve any measure of effectiveness. , if we qualify effectiveness as a positive change in perception.

That is very true. In my opinion the effectiveness of an advertisement or campaign should be measured against the objectives set when it was being prepared.

This is the correct approach.Much advertising is done simply to maintain a presence in the consumer mind.

Whether maintenance, new product launch, or rebrand, it is usually the quality of the client's brief that determines what sort of advertising the agency will come up with.

Slipshod, casually prepared briefs are most often responsible for sloppy advertising.

By rights, the brief is the foundation of the campaign. The more precise it is, the better the agancy will understand the client's need and provide the most appropriate communication solutions.

The OP is pretty much a "how to" road map.
