"1984" ia my choice.  It broke new ground on many counts. It is also unique in that it had the least mass airing and generated free publicitythe cost of which is incalculable.

Apple "DAVE"  Hard hitting, civil, and so simple. It was a great idea, perfectly executed. Latched on to the Y2K bug and exploited it ruthlessly.
